It's finally a Merry Fuckin' Christmas here in ShoesVille...

It's amazing how way too many alcoholic
beverages changes muddies one's perspective of things..

Things about why a particular daughter no longer works
where she's told you she was working...

Things like why a son can't do what he's
promised you he was going to do...

Three times...

... and the last time he just leaves home without
letting you know he was leaving...

It's amazing how alohol just dulls one's senses...

especially when one has way too many...

So... she shows up when I conduct a search
for margaritas...

I guess her name is Margarita or something...

For the record, I've never seen her there...

Merry Fucking Holidays...

I'm thinking that 'hammered' would have been the most correct term! :oD

    2. I read the comment I left just now... this is what happens when one uses the cell phone :P spelling errors on an educator's blog. My teachers are probably dying of embarrassment right now *sigh*

  2. I'll drink with you, but then I'd probably end up doing something really stupid like drunk texting, or calling, this "person" that, oh never mind. I need another secret blog! Anyway, tell me where and we'll drink it all away!

  5. Your blog is about "Discovery... or the Re-Discovery" of self. Alcohol might help, but especially during the holidays, it never helps to dwell on the attitudes of our children toward life. When we do, we forget that they belong to a generation that was deliberately screwed up by societal outcasts. Their actions have little to do with how we raised them. Once they hit the school system, say goodbye. Next time, enjoy those margaritas!

    1. Good morning, JJ...

"Their actions have little to do with how we raised them."

That is EXACTLY where my problems with them are... they just break my heart with the choices they make.

I keep hoping and hoping and hoping... but I feel hopeless with them...

      *sighs*

For the record, I DID enjoy those margaritas!!!

      Happy New Year!

    2. JJ is right, tho, at one time I thought I escaped having any issues w/my kids... Why is it that there is usually one kid who either disappoints or makes wrong choices? is it to keep us on our toes? if so, forget about that! I've got enough lessons learned.

  6. Your comment on my blog last night makes a bit more sense now. A-L-C-O-H-O-L. So much more sense now. hahahahaha. I feel like I am pulled taut as a bow string and you are like Thelma and Louise all rolled into one. LMBO. Made me think I need to chill the f*ck out. Let's just drive off the cliff already. There are worse ways to go. That drop could be fun. They say it's all in the journey, right?

Now, I am thinking less Thelma & Louise and maybe more Captain Morgan is the answer here. What do YOU think? hahahahaha. BTW, I did respond to your link like you were in your right mind. You should read it:)

Love ya Shoes!!!!! Some day your kids will know what an excellent man you are. I hope they figure it out soon!

    1. Hey there, Robin... yep, just like Thelma and Louise... let's drive this mother off the cliff.

The Senate is NOW ready to work on some kind of resolution for this train wreck... the President just wants to spend... I don't care about the tax increases if we get spending cuts. I don't want to pay MORE in taxes just so the government can spend MORE on new shit...

      Let's wreck this bitch...

There's enough blame for all of those politicians, regardless of party.

My kids won't figure it out in my Lifetime... :oD

  8. Ever tried a Blue Mary? I fell into a barrel with it when I was a baby. Well, that my unoriginal and, in fact, stolen theory. We need to speak, Shoes, for you're well on your way to becoming the Bluest Grumpster. Now, you know I can't have that ;)

Take good care of yourself, my friend.

    2. I must've just 'had' one when I wrote that comment, skipping half the words I had in mind. It happens, especially when I've got a truckload of papers to grade... though two truckloads would be worse.

  10. Okay, that was a depressing fucking post. Oh, not the stuff about family or drinking. But I used to LOOK like Margarita up there... and there is no way in hell I will ever look like that again.

I think my re-entrance into the world of Facebook and my re-connection with old friends has made me a little melancholy.

I do melancholy really well... I don't even need to drink to do it.

    (((hugs)))

This too shall pass, Mr. Shoesman.
