Music...
This song by 'The Tractors' best captures my mood...
I love 'Silent Night' in the background vocals...
This is one of the John Denver songs to which I referred in the comments of my previous post... I think the latent cowboy is coming out in me... I wonder how much a mountain in New Mexico and two mules would cost?
'Christmas For Cowboys'...
Augh... how is it that a stupid song can make my eyes water...
*sighs*

oh Red, you always manage to bring a smile to my face :-)
ReplyDeleteHi, Ana... thank you for seeing this post as something other than a suicidal plea... :o)
DeleteI was sad... missing my Parents, but I'm OK.
Merry Christmas to you!

Don't be sad... you are not alone. We are here :)
DeletePlease go. It's not too late. It's never too late. Drive there. Leave tomorrow. Christmas Eve. Just go. Can't u just get in ur car and go to Utah? A Christmas gift to urself and ur soul. Just go. Go.
ReplyDeleteHi, Stormy... I'm ok... I can't go... I have too much here that requires my presence...
DeleteMerry Christmas to you.

I love John Denver. Always have. I miss him... not that I knew him, of course... but it was nicer to have him among the living than count him among those who are gone.
ReplyDeleteCheck your email.
Merry Christmas, Ami...
DeleteI liked John Denver... I thought he was a 'good guy'...
I wish I could sing as easily as he did.
Thank you for your email... I so appreciated it. :o)
Merry Christmas!

Sigh. Sorry you are feeling blue, Shoes. As I played the Tractors' song I was watching the lovely photos. At the right time, photos like that can just fill us with hope and happiness. At the wrong time, they come to mock us. Beautiful sights are out there somewhere, if we can find the energy to go looking for them. Sometimes we even find them right at home. Here's wishing you a little Christmas magic.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Blissed...
DeleteYou are so right about the timing of things. Christmas is going to be ok... :o)
I hope yours is wonderful!

We all miss JD. Sorry for the Christmas blues. This can be a tough time of the year. Consciously change your direction, and enjoy the good things out there. If necessary, find them. Best to you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, JD... You are right. We have to change the course of things.
DeleteI hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Know that you are not alone. I long for Christmas' past.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Middle Child.
DeleteThose Christmases Past were the best!
I trust that all is well with you!

Sending up a prayer of love and light just for you. I was in this sad place, too, and I just decided to ::stop:: We can do that, you know. We can open our hearts and allow the love in despite all of the crazy in the world. I think that the crazier the world gets, the more we need to decide that we don't have to allow it to make us crazy. We can still be US. We can retain all of our fundamental goodness. If we allow it to change us, then it wins somehow. So, know that you are loved by so many. And allow your Spirit Energy to rejuvenate your Soul. Enjoy this season. Sing the songs, eat the food, look at the lights, do whatever makes you happy. Lay under your tree and watch your twinkle lights. And think about good things. There are lots of good things. Draw those things into you. You are a good man, Shoes. A very good man. Merry Christmas:)
ReplyDeleteIt's just a phase, Robin... a spell, if you will... I long for the olden Christmases, believing in Santa Claus... people weren't so mean or angry...
DeleteI do worry about being a good guy... I don't know why I worry so about it, but I do...
Merry Christmas to you!!

Yes, just go. Follow your heart, Shoes. Have some fun elsewhere. Often it makes you appreciat your own place a bit more when you return. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess I could start packing now! :oD
