"Tuesday Shiznits..."

Note: Speaking of stupid, it dawned on me while I was eating dinner with my brother tonight that today was Wednesday... Stupid is as stupid does... Grrrrr.....

... “There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.” – MrGarrison, “South Park” ...

Mr. Garrison

Today was a frustrating day in class... I am teaching an Intro To Micro Economics this summer semester... the students started off great on the first test, and then on average, the exam scores slipped about 15 points on average for the second exam.

They aren't paying attention... the things they are missing are the things that I am stressing to them that they need to remember!

It had to do with a graph like this one... all they had to do was pay attention... and I told them to assume that 'Total Fixed Costs'  equal zero... nothing... we have no fixed costs...

... and about half way through what I was explaining to them, this one student asked me... 'Where'd you get the zero?'

... “There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.” – MrGarrison, “South Park” ...

... comes to mind... I explained to her what my suppositions were... and she said, 'I know... but where did the zero come from?'

Sighs...
_______________

OK... just to humor me... more incidental porn photos...

Why do these 'lighthouses' look more like candy "packages?"
Eating something like that would be sure
to scare the homophobe in any of us!

THIS landscaper has one twisted sense of humor!!
It would be even funnier if this were to be an
office building housing a urology clinic.

This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode...

I wonder if there are any shaved ones in there?

You can toss your own salad??

I refuse to caption this one!!!!!
_______________

One a more serious note...

I posted yesterday about the married woman on campus... To 'Catch Her In The Wry,' I did NOT accept what she brought.  I did think that by accepting what she brought, that I would be encouraging her...

TK Kerouac suggested that this woman thinks I am a challenge... I got an phone call fro her this afternoon... she wanted to come by my office. I guess I am still harboring some resentment from the ex-gf in Austin... I got ugly with her... I got mean... I have to admit that I feel bad about it, but she just wouldn't accept my 'kind' refusals... and some of them weren't so kind...

Evidently you are BOTH right...

As to 'Austin', I de-friended her on FB as one of you suggested... evidently, today she discovered that I had done this, and she sent a 'Friend Request'...

I don't get it... I simply do NOT get it...
_______________

On a personal note... ten years ago today, my best friend, BARRY drowned in a most horrible accident.  I do not take my friendships lightly.  I still miss him so... he was the most wonderful friend...

  2. That woman is relentless. Do you have a friend you can introduce her to who is into that sort of thing? (Groan) Seriously, I think my next step would be to let her know that I have bought a tape recorder on her next approach. Make it clear that all future conversations will be recorded and you have no problem sending them on to her husband. All emails will be saved for the same purpose. You are done playing around. She can go torment someone else. You have been nice. You have been ugly. Now you have to get serious. Find your inner bitch.

  3. On a slight aside, we people of Australia kept electing someone who looked just like Mr Garrison - repeatedly. If you don't believe me google image John Howard and picture a puppet on his right hand......

  7. Barry was a genuinely nice guy... I posted about him on that link. A wonderful Dad, a great husband, a fantastic doctor... the best friend I've EVER had... bar none... It's hard to believe its been ten years... wow...

@ Jessica... yeah, that dental office one... I need to send that to the dentist I used to date... she might find it funny... or not... :o|

@ Robin... no, there is no one I would wish this on... other than maybe Bathwater.. HAHAHAHA.... just wait!! But, you are right... I am tired... I am fed up... I am finished playing around... I hate this... I don't ask for it... but like Catch Her suggested on yesterday's post, she probably sees this as an acceptance... maybe like an unruly child... negative attention beats NO attention...

@ Mike.. Hi there, Ive seen some photos of him and he DOES look like Mr. Garrison... there is a great South Park episode where he makes that comment above to the class... I just couldnt find the stupid clip... grrrrrrrrrrrr...

@ Magnolia.. No, Im really getting fed up with this. Granted I would LOVE to be in a relationship with someone special.. I do NOT need all of these trainwrecks in my Life... They are so hard headed... I'm a nice guy, but I'm not anything spectacular... I'm a nice guy... period...

@ Jaime... Well, I know for a fact that there are men just like this... but when Laura told me that one night that she didn't love me anymore... right after we had sex, I got up... got dressed... packed my stuff and left. I didn't go back. I'm not going to say I didn't hurt, but I didn't embarrass myself either.

  9. Shoesies, what the hell is it with you and the married broads ? You are like catnip to them. I shouldn't judge though, married men seem to like to harass me and I absolutely wish they would buy a fucking clue.

OMG, I totally remember my economics classes ! I enjoyed them.

I absolutely can NOT believe the gardener shaped the bushes into cock-and-balls sets. I love your accidental porn posts.

  10. Weeeeeeeelllll..... here's my take on the whole married girl thing. I'm like Senorita - married men like to harass. I think it's 'cause "being single" to a married person means "desperate for some fun" and so they think they are doing a big favor by providing the "fun". That's just the conclusion I've come to (I have more conclusions if you need to hear those too. LOL). I usually fly the bird in their general direction and walk away with a grin. ha HA!

I say again, I'm sorry to hear about Barry - but I'm totally in to the way you honor his memory. You are a good man.

Crackin' up over the kitty cat book!!! I wonder if there is one of those hairless ones in there..... hmmmmmm....

  11. I don't get it either regarding the relentless married woman and the friend request from a former FB friend. With that one, maybe she's hoping you did that in error.

All I can guess is both these women are masochists and they love the burn of rejection?

    ReplyDelete
  12. These women are looking for a way out of their marriages, but don't have the guts to walk out on their own. They want a knight in shining armor to come and save them. That will provide them with an excuse to leave and a new meal ticket because they are afraid of being alone.

It is always best to avoid desperate women.

I particularly like the stained glass window. It is so true, it's actually sad.

  13. You must be too approachable, I'm only approachable to those I want. Others don't find me very open.

  14. Sorry about your friend, hopefully it has gotten easier over time.

Have you ever seen a shaved cat? Not a pretty picture. Oh, wait, that isn't what you were talking about? ;-)

And seriously, I'd be beyond lost in that class of yours, that just isn't my thing, maybe it's one of those things you either get or not. And just for the record, I'm not a stupid person I just do stupid things sometimes :-)

  15. whats your email address so I can send you a blog invite, can't get on your profile email?

I promise not to stalk you

your crush is a tad obsessive, maybe OCD

    ReplyDelete
  16. @ Senorita... I have no idea what it is... it seems that I am drawing the married ones here lately... and married-ones-with-issues too! I can see why married men chase you... ;o)

I love teaching... it is honestly a "calling" to me... I love being in the class room... I love it when students 'catch on'... Its the best thing I've ever done...

@ Red.Neck.Chic... You know, I think I've always been sensitive to how women feel when they are being harassed... I just don't understand how, after I've been so blunt... so clear... that they just don't get it...

Re: Barry... I think donating blood in his memory is the least I could do to honor the friendship he and I have... I can't begin to even explain how neat a person he was. I think it's obvious from how I've talked about Barry and Robert, how much I value friendships and relationships with people...

I hope I'm a good guy... that's what I aspire to be... Thank you for your kind words...

@ Charlene... LOL My de-friending her most definitely was NOT an error!!! ;o) I think what 'Catch Her In The Wry' says is very accurate... they are looking for ways out of their marriages... I do not like rejection.

@ Catch Her... I think you are right about your assessment that they are looking for a way out of their marriages... I don't want them stepping into my world...

Re: the saddness of the stained glass window... I think thats why I didn't comment on it... you know?

@ Bathwater... I think I am very approachable... but I don't think / hope I don't send off a message that says I'm wanting that kind of chaos in my Life...

The way that woman sat in my office and raked those other people across the coals for what they were caught doing... and then turns around and wants that with me... is insane!!!!

@ Just Another Girl... The loss of Barry has gotten easier of the years... only to be followed by the death of Robert... Much like that passage I posted about on a previous post, I like the idea that when a person dies and goes away... that he/she takes a part of us with them... and leaves a part of them to remain with us. That is most definitely true with friends who have passed away... I just don't forget them...

LOL @ your last sentence!!! I LOVE it!

@ TK Kerouac... Sure... Its Redshoes51(at)gmail(dot)com... just make the substitutions in what I wrote out... You arent going to stalk me? Oh poot... :o( I look forward to hearing from you...
