"I Need A Drink..."

This has been a strange and difficult week...  so much uncertainty about my future at Alluvial Flood Plains State University... Boot camp class kicking my butt (although I know its good for me)...most of the activities yesterday were various leg exercises and my knees are killing me today...

I'm all over the place today... I can't help but think about tomorrow, Valentine's Day, and instead of wishes and desires of a great love in my Life, I am reliving the events of fourteen years ago...  my Dad's stroke and his death eight days later... and then everything that went wrong in such a short time...

I was surfing the net some yesterday and ran across an article about Gina Gershorn...  I am not sure what it is about her that gets my blood to flowing, but it sure does...  She was in a movie named, 'Bound'... that is still one of the hottest movies I have ever seen... she and Jennifer Tilly were unbelievable together... The word that comes to mind when I think of her is Sultry...

So... that took my mind to the gutter and I got to thinking about other sexually powerful movies that I could recall and one of the first was  "9 1/2 Weeks" with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke...  That movie was probably just about thirty seconds of film editing away from receiving an X-Rating...  Mickey Rourke was in another very sexy movie, "Wild Orchid," but I liked "9 1/2 Weeks" more...
Kim Basinger did a really great strip scene to this song...

Jan and I had at least one "9 1/2 Weeks" type of an event... Dee and I... GOD... which ones weren't!!!!!!!  I need to write more about her...

I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be one successful entrepreneur!!!

My mind is totally in the gutter today...

Which kind of reminds me of a quote that Neil Young once made... He recorded a song called, "Old Man"... which became a hit song for him... he said that he felt he had to come out of the ditches in order to have a Number One Hit song, but that all in all, he met more interesting people in the ditches...

Lastly, I was trading text messages with a friend last afternoon... I had told her that I no longer felt "in control" of events and happenings in my life... she sent me a rather deep, insightful response that I want to share here...   she said...

"Sometimes, when you admit you have no control,
you find yourself more open to possiblities..."

I needed that...

  1. Life is often described as a current and you are often fighting against it when you are trying to maintain control you are suppose to be flowing with it.

  2. I agree with "go with the flow". No one has absolute control over what's happening.

Haven't seen Bound, but will definitely look for it, I think I could use a hot steamy movie!! ;-)
