"subDudes..."

I've Got All The Time...

In The World...

'All The Time In The World'

These guys are one of my most favorite all-time bands... they are from New Orleans... To me, one thing that makes their sound so distinctive is that they substitute a tambourine for drums... and damn if its not great sounding.

'Primitive Streak,'I think, is their best album, although I do like the others...

'Carved In Stone'

To me, they have that quintessential New Orleans sound going on...

And of course... turn them up...

  4. Hi there, Ana...

I love their songs so... it seems that most songs need a hook right there at the beginning so as to pull us into the song.

I think art is much the same way.

How is your art work coming along? I really like that blue bird block print you have posted on your blog.

  6. That song, 'Carved In Stone' has been playing through my mind the past week... a good musician friend of mine died last week while I was gone. I didn't get back in time for his funeral...

Until the next time, Duff... rest easy and play hard...

  7. Can tell by ur comments to folks that u seem to be on the upswing!!! I am joyful to see that spark come back to light.

    Music does it for u.

Music, candles, flowers, teddy bear and Buttons do it for me.

Today I brought a bunch of "colorful" straight sewing pins and but them in front of me so I can look at "colorful" things. Strange I know but I like colors.

Buttons was so very sweet and loving last night and this morning. Amazing how much he loves me back. He's a sweet puppy. I'm still encouraging u to get a sweet puppy too.

Apparently I am off limits to my supervisor now. All things are hush hush but people are calling me and telling me the rumors swirling . It apparently went really high in rank. Amazing--I don't think my current supervisor knew my history with higher ups. I've just never used it before. I try very hard not to call in favors. Someone else is doing it for me apparently. It's a mess.

Anywho--I'm dreaming of my "tree in the desert". I promise u I will go find that very tree one day.

    Take care.

Happy to see u seem to be feeling better.

Buttons sends u a kiss and a hug. Ruff ruff.

    Have a blessed day!!!

    1. Yeah.. that is a great song. The other song, carved in stone, was written and sung by Tommy Malone after his Dad died... kind of an homage to his Father.

  9. P.S. If u decide to get a puppy, I promise u I will "puppy sit" for u if u have to go out-of-town. I'm sure ur puppy would love to walk with Buttons and me near the river and at the cemetery. Plus I bake puppy milkbones and pupcakes. Yummy yummy Promise I will if that is what is stopping u from getting a puppy. Promise.
