Through My Window Today....
So... I'm sitting... reminiscing... and for some reason,
Donovan ran through my mind...
He was a flash in the pan for a short period of time...
or so it seemed.
But what GREAT music he recorded!!!
This was one of my mostest favoritest Donovan songs.
"Sunshine Superman"
Critics claimed he was trying to be another 'Dylan'...
I didn't buy it.
I didn't buy it.
Did you know that Jimmy Page was a session guitarist on this song?
And what about this one?
"Mellow Yellow"
"They Call me Mellow Yellow..."
What an incredible time to be alive and experience this great music first hand!!!
And then this one...
"Hurdy Gurdy Man"
AUGH!!!!
TURN IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It just seemed that at this time one great song after another was being released by some of the most talented musicians...
Tell me about your favorite musicians...
Please...

ReplyDeleteThe 60s, the hippies, this is definitely my mom's era. Peace Out....
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the name but a few years ago a popular food company used the song "Mellow Yellow" for their product. I think it was for butter.
My fave musician hands down is Madonna & Duran Duran. I love listening also to 80s & Euro Dance Music.
Have a good weekend, Shoes.
