"Positively 4th Street..."

This has been a 'Positively 4th Street' week...
Have you ever listened... I mean 'LISTENED' to these lyrics???

You've got a lot of nerve... to say you are my friend...
When I was down, you just stood there grinning...

I am amazed at what people do... how they act... and then act so righteous... Are they that unaware that others are on to them?

I guess we tend to see ourselves as if through our own eyes... I wonder how often we are honest with ourselves and try to see us as others see us?

You see me on the street...  you always act surprised...
You say "Hello, how are you? Good luck..." , but you don't mean it...

You smile when you see me coming... you greet me... you are so hypocritical...
Can't you see it? Don't you see it?? Are you THAT closed away???

I wish that for just one time... you could stand inside my shoes...
And just for that one moment, I could be you...
Yes, I wish that for just one time...  you could stand inside my shoes...
You'd know what a drag it is to see you...

Bob Dylan must have really been upset with someone when he wrote this song... he must have felt this individual was quite a back stabber... there is no repeating refrain or chorus... its just as if he has written an open letter to someone... and got a load off of his chest...

People screw us over... and go on about their ways... and over time, either forget... or lose perception of how they treated others...  They live as if nothing ever happened...

They need to be reminded that some of us don't forget so easily...

I am very capable of forgiving...

I never forget...

  5. I am a person who is very capable of forgetting as well...and I also never forget.

I love Bob Dylan. In fact, I was thinking about his son yesterday and that song "One Headlight" kept playing over and over again in my mind.

I thought about it because my headlight went out on my truck.

Every word one utters links to the life of another.

And every memory connects us to the next thought chain in the link which ultimately attracts us to the next person we are to come into contact with in our lives.

When one understands this, they are truly enlightened.
