"Sausages..."



BATTER UP!!!!!!



Alluvial Flood Plain State University... the place where I teach... year in and year out has one of the top Division II baseball programs in the country. Last year, they made it to the D-II World Series before their pitching broke down.


This year is no exception. They have spent most of the season ranked #1 in the country.  They played a double header today against a school from Georgia... and a group of supporters brought their huge competition cooking trailers to the ball park... kind of like tail-gating.

A major meat packing company (no pun intended... seriously...) donated copious amounts of smoked sausage for the cookers... they grilled this and gave it away.  The ones that tended to catch my attention, as well as that of some of the people with whom I was sitting... were the co-eds eating said sausage.

It was just very hard... concentrating on what was transpiring on the baseball diamond.  Now...it probably wasn't as graphic as I am portraying it here, but...
C'mon... what do you expect from me...

    I remember being at a friend's get-together and she served up these huge hot dogs from Costco... and there was just something so wrong seeing the kids eating these huge ass things....the facial expressions from the kids reminds me of your first two photos here!....lol.... Now, I get why her husband was snickering......

    But that's the fun of the opposite sex.

    My Coffeehouse supervisor put a package of nuts on my head when I bent down last night. And said outloud very loudly, "I just put my nuts on ur head." When I raised up from behind the counter a whole table turned around and looked at us. All I could do was bust out laughing. Unfortunately, one of the men was one of "P"'s friends and he gave me a disgusting look.

    Oh well--what was I suppose to do.

    It is funny sometimes the silly things we do.

    One old psychopath b.f. took me out for German food one time and my plate came with a very nice sliced roast beef sauerbraten, 'kraut, potatoes, and two glistening smoky smelling bratwursts. He just looked at the sausages and declared that he wouldn't eat them because they resembled big penises,(penii? is that the plural?). So I carefully lined my sausages up and with my big knife I slowly and methodically cut them into medallions and offered them to him. He damn near fainted.
